A little about myself
A little about myself
Kyle lives in a few different worlds. There's the world where he works as a tax preparer and bookkeeper/accountant. In this world, he works with individuals and small businesses, helping them keep their finances in order and the revenue departments off their backs. If you're in the market for some tax/accounting help, check out his website here. On the other end of the spectrum, Kyle spent some time working as a freelance videographer for a local news station, and currently works as a freelance photographer out of Kansas. He would spend much of his time shooting high school sporting events, but has been known to photograph a World Series parade or two. Whether it involves finances or filming, he's damn good at what he does.
In another world, Kyle has an obsession with hiking and climbing mountains. His playground is mostly in Colorado, although he's been checking out other mountains near and far. He's summited eighteen 14er's on seventeen different peaks. While he knows that's not much compared to others out there, he's continually working to increase those numbers. If you had to ask him what his favorite expedition has been so far, he'd tell you that it would be a hike in the snow up Mt. Sherman. The sights, the (lack of) sounds, the calmness, the serenity of the mountain that day made it one of the most enjoyable hikes done so far. Letting you in on a little secret here, Kyle openly claims to hate the snow, but deep down, he loves it. Update: Kyle just recently hiked/climbed and successfully summited Handies Peak. He hasn't added photos just yet, so harass him until he does.
When Kyle isn't working or heading up the side of a mountain, you can typically find him out running around town. If you knew Kyle from a young age, you'd never think of him as a runner. He competed in Olympic-style weightlifting and played football, not exactly sports where long distance running is involved. Yet here we are, years later, just about every morning, rain or shine, hot or cold, he's out there running. Kyle just recently ran his first half marathon in, where else, Colorado. After realizing that he can do it, and it's not as scary as one would think, he's looking for other races to run. Ideally, the further away from home, the better. The best adventures happen miles from home.
